After weather watching all day it seems the snow has passed us by. The winds are very gusty in BRIERFIELD so take care.
See you tonight.
We all really hope that the wind eases for tomorrow so that we can get to choir safely. Do keep an eye on the website – and maybe check it just before you set off if the weather is bad. It is here that we will be posting about any cancellations. But of course we will get there – we will be having another go at Ide Were Were that we started on last week and definitely finishing off / consolidating “I call to you”. This got shelved last week because of wanting to sing “Follow the Heron – the back of the winter is broken!” It is! – let’s hope so!
Choir on Tuesday 4 February will be all about making sure that we have mastered songs that we have been learning in the last few weeks – especially “I call to you” which was starting to sound gorgeous last week. Also we will start to learn the words for “Ide Were Were”- one of the African songs for Sing for Water North. Here is a little video clip – do have a listen before you come – it will really help!! Incidentally this video clip is from the Sing for Water event in London a few years ago – it gives you an idea of what to expect if you have never sung in a mass sing event!
