Singing Weekend with Janet.

Come and join Janet who is leading a whole weekend of Singing at Minsteracres retreat centre on the border between Northumberland and County Durham from Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd April (the weekend after Easter).
As per her usual approach, Janet will demonstrate that with just your ears, a relaxed body and other voices around you, everyone can gain more confidence with their voice. Music for the weekend will come from faith traditions around the world, so if you love to sing, why not come and learn something completely new? You do not have to be able to read music, you just have to be prepared to launch yourself into a new and joyfully harmonious new world!

Singing for the Soul in Kraków

IMG_3464.JPG

A small group of the choir travelled along to Kraków for five days for fun, exploring and of course music. We attended three concerts, one of Jewish jazz, one Polish traditional music , which saw several of the group involved in dancing, and a popular classical concert in a church.
We even picked up a new member along the way ( Maria in the middle). We travelled with two husbands and a friend. The trip was organised by group member, Karen, for St John’s Burnley but was quickly filled up with choir members.
Thanks Karen.
