Details of the Truce Choir

You are invited to join the 
“Truce Choir”

In 1914 singing brought men together all along the 
Western Front and was the start of the 
“The Christmas Truces”

Now is your chance to sing songs that the men would have sung as well as pieces written specially to celebrate reconciliation and shared humanity to be sung on 
Saturday 29 November (7 pm) – St James’ Church in Accrington
and Saturday 20 December (3pm) – Accrington Stanley FC

Just 3 learning sessions (followed by 2 performances)
No need to read music – all learning “by ear”
No auditions – just come along and sing!

Dates of learning sessions and rehearsals are 
Saturday October 25* 10 a.m til 3.30 p.m– Hyndburn venue to be confirmed
Saturday 8 November – 10 a.m til 3.30 p.m – First Floor @ Accrington Library 
Sunday 23 November – St James’ Church, Accrington
*especially for anyone who has not learnt any of the songs so far
