We meet at Brierfield Library, Colne Road, BB95HW, every Tuesday, at 7 pm until 9 pm.

The choir has been running since March 2013. Set up with funding from the Near Neighbours Fund (Church Urban fund), the choir welcomes people from all faiths and none.

NB Choir dates below. 

1. Spring: 15/01/19 to 02/04/19 inclusive
2. Summer: 23/04/19 to 16/07/19 inclusive with weeks off 25th June and 2nd July.
3.Autumn: 03/09/19 to 26/11/19 inclusive one week off 15th October.
NB There will be some Summer singing sessions in the villages of Pendle – with free transport from Brierfield on 27 July, 10 August and 17 August. These are all Saturday mornings except for 17 August which will finish a little later  (3.30 p.m.) following a performance to your friends and relatives in Downham Village Hall.
There will also be a special performance called Finding Ethel at Oswaldtwistle Civic Theatre on Friday 22 November (preceeded by at least one rehearsal probably on 16th November (day time) and one additional evening in the week commencing 18 November.

Update for Mid May 2019

Choir is ON this coming week (21 May), and you may be sad to hear that we are moving on from bees!!
This coming Saturday is bee day though, so please meet at Padiham Road Methodist Church, in Burnley, for 10.50 and here is the set list:
1. Buzz Away – 2 verses
2. Bee Boys Song – all 3 verses
3. Inversnaid – round sung 3 times and with part 1 repeating the last line
4. Janet’s solo – you just sing “buzz buzz” on the 5 choruses (it will be obvious)
5.English Country Garden – 3 verses. Please practise the words.
6. Buzz Away again – to end on a strong song about how the bees are going to “buzz off” if we don’t start treating them properly!

To hear any songs again you can look on the website and sing along.

Bee Day and Bee songs

If you are planning to come on Saturday 18th, please try to get along to choir this Tuesday (14th). If not, the arrangements are that we are meeting at Padiham Road Methodist Church on Brassey Street at 10.50 a.m..

Easter Holidays.

We are on holiday on Tuesday 9th and Tuesday 16th April. We will be back immediately after Easter – on the 23rd April.
Special session for Easter
If you are free during the afternoon of Tuesday the 16th April, 2.30 – 4.00, you may wish to join Janet at this Event at Pendle Heritage Centre when she will be introducing the Pendle Hill Song Fellowship and singing some good Lancashire songs. A song to end our sessions with

In the last week, it has been suggested that we end with one of our lovely recent songs. We will try doing that on a regular basis – choosing a song that we really love and ending with it. Suggestions please to Janet – janet.swan@naturalvoice.net
Holidays coming up
Please remember we are off in 2 weeks time, so there will be no session on 9 and 16 April. We will be back on Tuesday 23 April. And remember if you would like an extra session over Easter you can join Janet at Pendle Heritage Centre on Tuesday 16 April from 2.30 til 4.00.
